A home is more than just a house, it’s also about the community that surrounds it. And that’s why we’re invested in building communities that support local businesses, provide much needed facilities for the area and bring people together.

To support the growing community in Wallyford, our development will contribute to the wider St Clements Wells masterplan that will deliver a new primary school, a proposed new secondary school, a local centre and a community woodland - creating a large recreational area for all to enjoy.  Alongside this, we will also provide new footpaths and cycle connections to both Wallyford and the train station that will help to improve local infrastructure.

First Home Fund

You will need just a 5% deposit to buy your new home (subject to individual lender requirements) and your mortgage must be at least 25% of the purchase price.

The Scottish Government will contribute a maximum of 49% equity stake based on the property valuation or purchase price, whichever is lower, up to a maximum of £25,000. With the First Home Fund, you will own the property outright with the Scottish Government having an equity stake in your home.

Due to the success of this first pilot scheme, the Scottish Government has confirmed the First Home Fund will reopen in April 2021 for new home purchases completing from 1st April 2021 until 31st March 2022. If you are looking to move using the new scheme in 2021, you can still reserve a new home now, subject to your application to the new fund being approved.
