Councillors help celebrate launch of Little Furze Place
We held a special staff event to celebrate the launch of Little Furze Place. Our colleagues were joined by local ward members of Three Rivers District Council, including Chairman Cllr Stephen King who cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially mark the opening of the sales office.
Cllr King said: “I have been connected to South Oxhey for 60 years, with my parents coming to the area in the 1950s.
"Taylor Wimpey's new development at Little Furze Place is going to be a wonderful place to live, with acres of woodland on the doorstep and lots of open parkland (awarded Village Green status in 2023) less than seven minutes' walk away.
"I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for inviting me to the launch and look forward to seeing the new community develop."
Paresh Pandya, Senior Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We’re delighted to have officially launched Little Furze Place. Our development brings a fantastic selection of new homes to an area with plenty of great amenities and transport links, and it was a pleasure to be joined by local councillors and to show them around.
“We encourage anyone interested in making a move to Little Furze Place to book an appointment with our sales team to find out more about the homes and offers available.”

Celtic Hearts Irish Dance School has been awarded £1,000 after being announced as the winner of our community chest competition to celebrate the launch of Little Furze Place.Residents living in South Oxhey and the surrounding local area were invited to nominate local good causes. Once all of the entries were considered, we awarded Celtic Hearts Irish Dance School with the top prize.
The donation will go towards the costs of travel to the children's major competitions and to buy new training equipment for the school's beginners classes.

Championship dancers, with various things. Thank you Taylor Wimpey for the donation.”

We sponsor the British Firefighter Challenge
We proudly sponsored The British Firefighter Challenge 2025 with a £2,000 donation. The British Firefighter Challenge saw 235 UK Fire and Rescue Service firefighters from across the country and from overseas test their strength and determination in a series of eight competitive challenges. This year’s event took place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July on The Parade, Watford High Street.
The annual event aims to raise awareness for the invaluable work that the UK Fire and Rescue Service does, and in total raised £3,370 for emergency services. Our £2,000 donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding Little Furze Place, and was put towards the event’s running costs.
A replica short course challenge was also created for children to try out. Many bought their own fire kit and donned a British Firefighter Challenge helmet. Similar to the main challenge, they each ran hoses and climbed ladders to rescue two teddy bears.
John Gregory, Chairman of The British Firefighter Challenge Team, said: “This year's event was our 9th British Firefighter Challenge and we’d like to thank our sponsors, including Taylor Wimpey, for their support. From our youngest firefighter at 18 years old to our oldest at 64 years old, the course, although extremely challenging, demonstrates that age is just a number, and with course records tumbling this year we are seeing firefighters showcasing the very highest levels of fitness.
Paresh Pandya, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We are delighted to have supported this year’s British Firefighter Challenge which took place nearby to our upcoming Little Furze Place development. As well as showcasing the strength and skill of our amazing firefighters, the event raises money for an invaluable service that we, quite literally, cannot live without.”
We support chairwoman’s charity fundraising
We have proudly donated £1,750 to support Ngorli CIC and Manna Foodbank, the two charities chosen by Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson’s during her term as Chairwoman of Watford Borough Council for 2024/2025.Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson, the first Black woman to serve as Chairwoman (Civic Mayor) of Watford Borough Council, selected the two grassroots organisations as part of her charitable focus during her year in office.
In total, £17,603 was raised by the Councillor for the two charities to support their work in the community. North Watford-based Ngorli CIC empowers young people through learning support, mentorship, and programmes that help nurture confidence and opportunity. Manna Foodbank in Watford is run from Watford Elim Church and provides essential food supplies to local families struggling due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson, now retired as Chairwoman, said: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Taylor Wimpey for its generous donation of £1,750 to support my two chosen charities, Manna Food bank and Ngorli CIC.
“Both organisations carry out vital work in our community, offering practical and compassionate support to those who need it most. This donation will make a real difference, and I’m incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for recognising the importance of supporting grassroots organisations that truly uplift our community.”
Paresh Pandya, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We are pleased to have supported Councillor Dawn with her fundraising to help two essential charities in the local community. It’s vital that anyone in the local area, regardless of background or circumstances, has access to education and food, which these two charities provide.”
