We celebrate our apprentices achievements across the Midlands

This National Apprenticeship Week, our Midlands team proudly celebrate their apprentices’ achievements across the region with a visit from Eddie Hughes, MP.

Helping our apprentices achieve their career goals

The MP for Walsall North visited our Wyrley View development in Walsall to meet with our bricklaying and carpentry apprentices where he learnt about their experiences of working with us.

The apprentices from South and City College Birmingham are supported by experienced tradespeople from our Midlands’ team, giving them the opportunity to develop their practical skills through on-the-job training.

Michelle Reid, Divisional Apprentice Manager at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are excited to be giving young people the opportunity to get onto the career ladder. We have a number of trade apprenticeship programmes ranging from bricklaying and carpentry to painting and decorating."

"We have a 100% pass rate, and our previous apprentices from South and City College Birmingham have all progressed to be qualified bricklayers and carpenters, showing our dedication to helping the younger generation achieve their career goals.”
