The perfect first home

After nearly a decade of studying in Nottingham, Nigel sought a property close enough to the city to maintain his connections. Nigel said: “Bingham Gate offered a beautiful and quiet location with great access to amenities, while still being quite close to the city. Upon visiting the development, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the properties, particularly given their affordability.”

Nigel said: “Moving from a cramped apartment, I thoroughly appreciate the ample space throughout the house; it's been a lovely change of pace.

“Among all the areas, the kitchen stands out as my favourite, thanks to its generous counter space and integrated appliances, including a double oven which allows me to bake far more than I used to! Many other developments I've explored tend to feature cramped kitchens or ones with limited counter space, making cooking quite difficult.”
 
 Opting for a new build was an easy decision for Nigel, driven by factors such as energy efficiency and avoiding the challenges of renovating older properties. 

Nigel said: “I am quite frankly shocked by how effectively the house retains heat compared to previous rental properties. Some of my friends purchased older homes with renovation plans, but the idea of juggling home improvements alongside a full-time job didn't appeal to me. Moreover, the simplicity and security of owning a new build, coupled with the 10-year warranty, provided peace of mind.”

Smooth buying journey

The journey to homeownership was smooth and stress-free thanks to Taylor Wimpey's dedicated team. Nigel said: “Both Corrine and Mandy provided invaluable support, guiding me through the process as a first-time buyer and ensuring minimal hurdles along the way.”

Now settled in his new home, Nigel concludes: “Since moving in, I've been nothing but pleased with my decision. Any minor issues encountered have been promptly addressed by the helpful on-site team, particularly Selina. What’s more, the peaceful surroundings and proximity to town amenities make everyday living convenient and enjoyable.
