Street scene
We are planning to bring 2 and 2.5 storey homes throughout the proposed development which will range from 2 to 4 bedrooms and designed as detached, semi detached and mews style properties. The site’s landscape design incorporates several elements that aim to enhance the environment and create a visually appealing landscape. One of these elements is the use of tree-lined roads, which not only provides shade and improve air quality, but also adds aesthetic value to the site.
Homes proposed
A mix of affordable and open market properties are proposed on site which promotes diversity and ensures that the area is accessible to a range of future residents. Affordable plots are strategically pepper-potted throughout the site and seamlessly integrated with open market units. Overall there will be a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom mews, semi and detached homes.
About our proposals features
Open space
The proposed green open space near the entrance serves to provide a visually appealing gateway into the development, welcoming residents and visitors alike. Front gardens are designed with ornamental planting to add colour and interest and rear gardens are designed to be lawned, providing a space for recreation and relaxation. Additional planting has been included to create a green infrastructure network that will enhance the overall appearance. With these measures in place, the green spaces within the development will be beautiful, functional, and safe for all to enjoy.
To ensure that the green spaces are well-maintained and secure, the housing layout has been thoughtfully designed to provide passive surveillance over these areas, giving residents a clear view of their surroundings.
Connectivity
In line with the previously approved scheme, the primary vehicular and pedestrian access into the site is taken off a junction of Stopes Road. The proposed development features a well-planned loop for safe circulation throughout the site, along with a 5m wide emergency link providing an alternative route for pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles.
Drainage
A sustainable urban drainage system for the site includes two proposed attenuation ponds located in the northern and north western area of the public open space. The ponds will play a crucial role in managing water runoff and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
