About the development
Layout phase 1
Millbrook Place is designed to incorporate a mix of traditional and urban living, balancing modern home design with inspiration from the heritage and architecture of the local area.
The homes will overlook the development’s green open spaces and streets and each home will incorporate sustainability features including triple glazing, energy efficient appliances and electric vehicle charging stations outside.
To support local wildlife we’ll be installing bat and bird boxes around the development, and planting native shrubbery and vegetation to encourage increased biodiversity.
Green pedestrian routes put the needs of cyclists and pedestrians first, helping to support sustainable lifestyles whilst still allowing for drivers to easily navigate the development.

We promote road safety with school speed sign competition in Crewe
We teamed up with Monks Coppenhall Primary School in Crewe to raise awareness about road safety through a creative speed sign competition.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community around our Millbrook Place development, we invited pupils from the school to take part in a design competition. The children were challenged to create eye-catching and informative signs that encourage drivers to slow down and stay alert while travelling through the residential area.
After receiving a wide range of imaginative and thoughtful entries, the winning design was selected and has now been professionally produced and installed at the Millbrook Place development.
Jennifer Burns, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We were really impressed by the creativity and effort shown by all the pupils at Monks Coppenhall Primary School. Road safety is a shared responsibility, and it’s fantastic to see children taking an active role in promoting safe driving in the local area.”
Natalie Griffiths, Headteacher at Monks Coppenhall Primary School, added: “This was a great opportunity for our pupils to get involved in a real-world project that promotes safety and creativity. They were thrilled to take part and learn more about how their ideas can make a difference in the community.”
We help community cleaning group in Crewe
A community cleaning group in Crewe is over the moon after receiving support from us.
Established in 2011, Crewe Clean Team is a community group set up by residents to keep their environment as clean and tidy as possible by holding monthly litter picks and providing equipment for their 250+ members.
We are building new homes in Crewe at its Millbrook Place development and decided to support the group with a £250 funding donation for new equipment, including gardening tools for ongoing maintenance jobs and equipment for cleaning out the roadside gutters. The funding has allowed them to continue the good work that they carry out in the local community.
David McDonald, Chair at Crewe Clean Team, said “We do our very best to keep Crewe and surrounding areas as clean as possible, and donations make a massive difference to the work that we do. Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s support, we’ve been able to continue picking up litter and keeping areas of our town tidy and welcoming to all.”
Jennifer Burns, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “Groups like Crewe Clean Team make such a difference to their communities and it’s great to see so many people getting involved and willing to help keep the town as clean as possible. It just shows us how much the residents care about where they live and so, we wanted to offer our support, as we also care hugely about the environments which surround our homes.”
The community group also received a £300 donation from us to help them with the costs of installing swift boxes in the town, starting at the our Millbrook Place development.
David added: “In 2012, the RSPB protected a supercolony of 450 pairs of swifts in an area of the town. In 2022, the local ornithological society counted just 50 individual birds in the same area. We can’t directly affect the crash in the insect biomass where they feed in Africa (though we will be planting wildflowers to provide food here) but we can start to reverse the reduction in the number of nesting sites – caused by ‘filling in’ gaps under the eaves - by installing swift boxes.”
