We’re providing more than £3m in community contributions in Dorking
As part of the planning consent for our Sondes Meadows development, we’re investing £3.2m in the local community.
As a responsible housebuilder, we always invest in the communities we build in, and Sondes Meadows is no different. Of the £3.2m we’re investing, around £3m will be allocated to support specific projects by local authorities. £182,000 will be put towards improving local highways and transport services.
Leon McGinty, Acting Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “We aim to leave a lasting positive impact in every community where we build, and these significant contributions are just the start. The community infrastructure levy money is there for local authorities to put towards key infrastructure projects and local services, and our highways funding should make the local road network better for everyone.
“We’ll also be supporting a range of community projects in Dorking and the surrounding area, and we’d encourage anyone that would benefit from our support to get in touch.”

A team from Taylor Wimpey visited the school to support pupils in building their confidence by conducting mock interviews and providing feedback on their CVs. The organiser said -
"I can't thank you enough for being prepared to come and interview our students. Your dynamism and enthusiasm shone through and made things easier for our quite nervous students. You helped create such a buzz around the school as the students came out smiling!"
