Salden Place will provide a variety of new homes ranging from 1-bedroom apartments to 5-bedroom homes, with up to 30% of the new homes designated as affordable housing.
The development will also include two hectares of employment land, a local centre, a primary and secondary school and over 60 hectares of public open space. The first phase of the development will consist of 526 new homes.
Taylor Wimpey hosted a public consultation event at Longueville Hall on Thursday 19th October 2023 with all feedback considered. A copy of the boards displayed at the event can be downloaded here.
- Work is underway for the new roundabout on Buckingham Road and is expected to be completed in Autumn 2024.
- Works on the existing Buckingham Road will commence during the School Summer Holidays to minimise disruption.
- We aim to begin works to Whaddon Road in Autumn 2024 but this is subject to change.
- Works to the roads on the development are estimated to begin in Autumn 2024.
- Archaeology works are complete and post excavation reporting and archiving is underway with the local council.
- Work on site including the commencement of house building is subject to planning however we don't anticipate this starting until early 2025.
The proposed development will consist of 1,795 homes in total, ranging from 1-bedroom apartments to 5-bedroom homes. 30% of homes will be designated as affordable housing.
