Road Safety Week
To remind drivers using the entrance our Hawthorn Gardens development in Queensferry, we challenged the children at Dalmeny Primary School to design road signs encouraging safe driving when accessing and egressing the development.
The three winning designs - created by Niamh (Primary 5), Esmee (Primary 6) and Maya (Primary 7)- have been recreated as lamppost signs as a colourful reminder to drivers to drive slowly. Each winner received a £50 book token. The standard of the children's entries was so impressive that a further seven designs were selected to create a banner, which has also been installed at the development.
Working with Dalmeny Primary School to convey this important message has been a great opportunity to connect with the children in a meaningful and positive way.
