A home is more than just a house, it’s also about the community that surrounds it. And that’s why we invest in building communities that support local businesses, improve facilities in the area and help bring people together.
Funding Boost for Musselburgh Windsor 2016 Girls
We have once again demonstrated our support for local grassroots football in East Lothian by becoming the training kit sponsor for Musselburgh Windsor Community Football Club's 2016 girls team. The under-10s team is part of one of Scotland’s oldest and largest community football clubs, which played its first competitive game in August 1953.
“We’re thrilled to have received this helpful donation from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland. We are so grateful for their support of initiatives like ours in the local community. “Every player in our 2016 girls squad is extremely proud to wear this new training kit, and they are bursting with talent. We’re delighted to see them all looking so smart and professional as they tackle their training sessions ahead of their matches with other local teams.”
Supporting the local community
We have once again teamed up with First Step Community Project in Musselburgh — this time donating £1,250 as part of our ongoing pledge to contribute £25 for every new home sold and legally completed in the first phase of new homes at its popular Ravensheugh development in Wallyford.
This latest contribution builds on Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s long-standing relationship with First Step and reflects its continued commitment to supporting families in the local area. With the per-project now approaching completion, this funding will continue to help First Step deliver its services in the local community.
Based in Musselburgh, First Step provides a wide range of support for families with young children, including parenting programmes, nursery provision, counselling, groups and courses for parents, dedicated support for young parents, and a grandparent’s group. These services are designed to help families build confidence, develop new skills, and make positive choices.

“We are extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s continued support. Contributions like this play an important role in helping us strengthen and expand the services we offer to families across Musselburgh. “This donation will support our ongoing work to create welcoming, nurturing spaces and opportunities for parents, children and carers. On behalf of everyone at First Step, thank you for helping us continue to make a positive difference.”
