Taylor Wimpey is developing proposals for Land at Watmore Lane, Winnersh. The land is currently a draft allocation in Wokingham Borough Council’s emerging Local Plan, and Taylor Wimpey is seeking to bring forward much-needed homes in the local area including affordable housing.

In order that the views of local people can be taken into consideration, Taylor Wimpey hosted an in-person public consultation event and online webinar on our emerging proposals for new homes.  If you were unable to join either of these events, the consultation boards can be viewed here

The option to provide feedback online closed on 15th November 2022.  Comments received were reviewed by the team; and a Q&A document answering questions raised at our public consultation events can be viewed here.

On 11th August 2023, our Outline Planning Application (number 230208) was refused by Wokingham Borough Council under Delegated Authority.  Taylor Wimpey is appealing this decision via the Planning Inspectorate.

Alongside this, in October 2023, an Outline Application for a smaller development of 111 units was submitted to Wokingham Borough Council.  This application has now been validated by Wokingham Borough Council, and the application documents are available to view on the planning section of Wokingham Borough Council’s website (Application number: 232666).
