We help deliver Christmas to organisations across Cumbria
We were delighted to help bring Christmas to 25 organisations across Cumbria as part of a project to place Christmas trees around the North East region
Taylor Wimpey North East employee James Harvey stepped in to help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Children’s hospice with their festive campaign, #AJigsawChristmas, by delivering 12 ft Christmas trees to schools, colleges and other businesses vital to their communities.
The installation of the trees, which were donated by the Rotary Club of Carlisle, is part of a project which aims to raise awareness of the fact that Jigsaw is the only children’s hospice in the whole of Cumbria providing support to children and young adults with life limiting conditions.
Some of the organisations that were given a tree also have a collection tin and visitors are being encouraged to donate money to the hospices throughout December.
Taylor Wimpey production assistant James stepped in to help with the project by delivering the Christmas trees and collection boxes to 25 organisations across Cumbria over a three day period.
James said: “As soon as I heard about Jigsaw’s Christmas project, I was more than happy to step in to help deliver the Christmas trees across the region.
“The work that the hospices do is really invaluable, and I’m really proud to have contributed in some way to help spread the word.”
