We support Daisy Chain Project

Daisy Chain Project provides support to autistic children, adults and their families in the Tees Valley including the opportunity for service users to interact with animals at Daisy Chain’s on-site farm.

The therapeutic farm includes several areas, including a stables, pigsty and reptile room.

The animals encourage interaction and stimulation for autistic children, and the opportunity to help care for the animals, including feeding and grooming them. The donation has allowed Daisy Chain Project to purchase enough animal feed to last at least three months.

Jennifer Hewitt, Head of Children and Family Services, at Daisy Chain Project said: “We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their kind donation. The animals at Daisy Chain farm are integral to the services we provide, and these funds will support us to care for the animals as we go into the Spring.”

Sarah Northcott, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North East said: “As part of our community initiatives, we are continually looking for ways we can help organisations supporting the communities surrounding our developments.

“Daisy Chain provides invaluable services for children and families within our region and we are delighted to be able to make this contribution to them.”
