We support Barrow URC Primary School with a donation

Our North West team has recently donated £500 towards Barrow URC Primary School’s Nurture and Music hub

Supporting students’ well-being

Since returning from lockdown, the school noticed that students have a variety of needs related to their well-being and mental health.

This donation has allowed the school to turn their spare classroom into a space where children can partake in guided work, play therapy or small group work such as cooking or crafts to form friendships.

Nicola McArdle, Headteacher at Barrow URC Primary School, said: “We are so grateful for the generous donation towards our Nurture Hub. This is a bright, safe space where children will be able to work with teachers and other professionals on specific SEND needs.

“As a school, we have noticed the impact that lockdown has had on children in different ways. We hope that through this Nurture and Music hub we can offer pastoral support and ensure that we nurture the whole child.”

Jennifer Burns,  Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “The work we do is a lot more than just building high-quality homes. Being able to work with the communities that surround our developments means a great deal to us, so we are delighted to have supported Barrow URC Primary School in creating a well-being space for their pupils.”
