Supporting local communities

Every 10 years, around 300 dedicated performers swap their modern day lives to travel back in time and reenact scenes from the history of the town of Axbridge and across the bank holiday weekend, visitors experienced  15 breathtaking scenes featuring battles, riots and high drama, along with live music and much more.

The festival, which was originally scheduled for 2020, but delayed following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, is a much-loved integral part of community life in Axbridge.

Lending our support to the pageant,  we donated over 12 tonnes of sand to the event, which was used across Axbridge Square to ensure the performers taking part in the pageant were able to perform safely.

Rob Curry, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Bristol, said: “We are really pleased to be able to support the Axbridge Pageant.

“The Pageant truly is a unique and exciting event and we are thrilled to be able to be involved. ”

Axbridge Pageant Chairman, Phil Saunders, said: "The sand is a vital ingredient to make the Square of modern cobbles safer for the performers and in particular the horses, hounds, dogs and sheep.

“We are so grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their important contribution."
