Callan Lemon, who attended the careers fair as part of the Taylor Wimpey team, joined the company as an apprentice Joiner and is now an Assistant Site Manager.

Callan said: “It’s really important to all of us at Taylor Wimpey that the next generation of young people understand just how many options they have when it comes to their future careers. Whether it’s an apprenticeship, further education or work, every young person deserves to do something they love.”

Karen Hailes, Principal at Thorp Academy said: “We were thrilled to have welcomed Taylor Wimpey to Northern Education Trust Thorp Academy for our Careers Fair.

It is hugely important to us that we encourage our students to pursue their interests and we are hopeful that through events such as the careers fair, we can help them best prepare for and understand what their desired career path requires so that they can enter the world of work doing something they are really passionate about.”
