Couple find dream countryside home with Taylor Wimpey

Digital Forensics Manager, Elliot Joseph Mikes (28) & his girlfriend, Jessica Jayne Smith, a paramedic, were looking to move from Clayton-Le-Woods to be closer to Jessica’s family.

A streamlined sales process

Elliot was impressed with Taylor Wimpey’s sales process: “It was straightforward, a plan was outlined by our sales team who were happy to re-confirm anything about the processes if we ended up forgetting anything.

“We were massively impressed with communication at all stages; from initially going in, we had everything we needed explained to make the right choice. Taylor Wimpey recommended we speak to Independent Financial Advisors to ensure we got the best deal and they also provided us with a really good solicitor who specialise in new build homes.”

The couple used Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange incentive during their sale which means they were able to sell their home to Taylor Wimpey after an evaluation process, allowing them to move straight from their pre-existing home into their new one.

Elliot found that the Part Exchange scheme took more of the weight off their home purchase: “The main advantage of Part Exchange is the peace of mind it gave us when selling our old house. We were worried in case the chain may fall through. However, with the Part Exchange scheme, Taylor Wimpey took this stress off our hands.”

The couple settled into their new home in June 2023 and they couldn’t be happier with their move, Elliot commented: “We simply love it! The area is so nice, everybody around us is really pleasant.

“We love the feel of how everything is just so clean and new, it was pretty breathtaking when we first got to see the home demo.”
