We support the Forton Medical Centre garden project

We have helped to create a green space for the Gosport community after donating towards the development of the Willow Incredible Garden at Forton Medical Centre.

The project was set up by The Willow Group, part of the Southern NHS Foundation Trust, which consists of four Gosport GP practices.

The aim was to provide a green space for local people to garden in. So far, 10 flower beds have been raised with the help of 26 volunteers and funding from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Fund and the Queen’s Nursing Institute.  Our £250 donation will be put towards creating paving around the flowerbeds to make them accessible to everyone.

Stephanie Llewellyn, a Southern NHS Foundation Trust Nurse and member of the Willow Group, said: “We’re deeply touched by Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation and for the help and interest shown in our garden project. We started with just a very large area of grass and now, with the help of our volunteers and the donations from local companies, we have raised 10 flower beds and placed a path and fencing. “This donation will be so helpful for creating our community garden, we can’t thank Taylor Wimpey enough.”
