Cherishing our community
The Friends of Green is a community group focused on the conservation and enhancement of Great Bentley’s famous village green - one of the largest in the UK.
We are building new homes in Great Bentley, at the Hartford Green development and were happy to help the group plant a horse chestnut tree on the green to mark the coronation of King Charles.
Ahead of the King’s first official speech, which took place on 7th November 2023, members of our team joined the Friends to unveil a plaque marking their work together.
Michael Dorling, Chairman of The Friends of Green said: “We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Wimpey's generous donation, as it not only enables us to commemorate a historic occasion but also empowers us to continue our mission of fostering a greener and more sustainable future for all. Together we are shaping our history and creating a village that future generations can be proud of.”
