We spread festive spirit at upcoming Aylesbury Christmas event

We are hosting a Christmas event at our Aylesbury development, Aston Reach, to give people in the community a festive boost with hot drinks, carol singers and even the chance to see some real reindeers.

The event will take place on Friday 22nd December from 4pm to 6pm. A coffee cart will be providing hot drinks and visitors will also be treated to a performance from carol singers from St Mary’s Church and reindeers will be present for photo opportunities.

We have also donated £500 to St Mary’s Church as a thank you for their carol service which will be put towards the essential restoration works for the Anglican church. The works have been underway for three years to preserve the integrity of the building.

St Mary’s Church currently serves as a staple in the commuting, supporting various local charities such as the Aylesbury Food Bank, the annual Free Christmas Lunch for those in need, the Aylesbury Homeless Action Group and the mental health organisation SPACE.

Kenton Brigden, Director of Music at St Mary’s Church, said: “On behalf of St Mary’s, we extend our heartfelt thanks for Taylor Wimpey’s generous charitable donation of £500. Its contribution is invaluable and will play a crucial role in our ongoing building restoration efforts. Currently housed in the church, SPACE resides in one of the oldest parts of the building which urgently requires repairs. It is only through charitable donations like Taylor Wimpey’s that these works can take place.

“Taylor Wimpey’s dedication to this cause not only supports the daily needs of the Aylesbury community but also safeguards the historical significance of this building. This collective effort ensures that St Mary's remains a community asset for generations to come. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the present and future of our community – hopefully for another 800 years.”
