We help Maldon community to come together and support David’s cancer fight

David Neill launched a campaign to fund private treatment after being told by the NHS that there was nothing further they could do to treat his advanced stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Having twice undergone treatment for cancer before, David did not want to give up the fight. He and his wife Carly called on the generosity of others to help out.

Our sales team worked with residents to organise the fundraiser, which took place on Sunday 4th June 2023 and featured garden games, bouncy castles, prizes, raffles, and food. Around 100 people turned up to show their support and with great community spirit and kind generosity we successfully raised £1,733 in vital funds. We matched that with an additional £1,733 contribution to David's campaign.

David’s wife Carly was full of gratitude towards the event organisers. She added: “We can't thank you all enough, it was such an amazing day, I didn't want it to end.
