After struggling to raise the funds needed for a new recliner chair, the hospice reached out to Taylor Wimpey for help. Now this vital piece of equipment is in place, day-to-day life is much more comfortable for patients
Rowcroft Hospice supports adults living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon. Thanks to funding and support from the wider community, the charity can offer its services to patients within the local area.
Hayley Norrish, Trust Fundraiser at Rowcroft Hospice, said: “We do everything we can to provide comfort, support, and specialist services in our patient’s homes, in the community, and at our Inpatient Unit in Torquay.
“The reclining chairs are very expensive to purchase, and it can take us quite a while to save up for just one. We wanted to say a massive thank you to Taylor Wimpey for its generous donation which has helped us to secure a reclining chair for our patients to now make good use of.”
