We give another boost to Winchburgh Community Growing Group

Community Garden Week (1-7 April) shines a light on the amazing range of community and school gardens across the country, and to celebrate this year earlier this month we donated £500 to Winchburgh Community Growing Group.

Commitment to the local area

This latest donation marks our ongoing commitment to Winchburgh as the final few homeowners move in and complete our development of new homes at Auldcathie View overlooking Auldcathie District Park, while the first new homes are also released for sale at our Seton Rise development in the village.

Commenting on the additional support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, John West, who heads up Winchburgh Community Growing Group said: “Our community garden is growing and developing as each week goes by, and since we established it in 2021 it has been supported by a great team of volunteers who help out each Saturday.

Helping with improvements

“The community garden was created for the enjoyment of the whole local community, and we are delighted that Taylor Wimpey continues to support our work. We are also looking forward to creating staff volunteer days for their team later this year and giving them an opportunity to help us in the garden.

“Our latest donation from Taylor Wimpey will allow us to continue to improve our sensory garden and kids’ zone that has been created within the garden near the toddler play area within Auldcathie Park.”
