Supporting our communities

Residents living in Stevenage and the surrounding local area were invited to nominate local good causes. Once all of the entries were considered, we awarded The Anne Robson Trust with the top prize.

The Anne Robson Trust was set up by Liz Pryor following the unexpected death of her mother, Anne Robson, and the impact it had on her family. The Trust provides valuable support for those preparing for the end of their lives, as well as to their loved ones.

Jason Hodges, Fundraising Manager at The Anne Robson Trust, said: “Thanks to all at Taylor Wimpey for choosing our charity as recipients of the Community Chest prize. The Anne Robson Trust enables support and companionship for patients in hospital during the last days of their life, so no one has to spend the last days of their life alone.

“Now we want to help people closer to home, by supporting people in and around Stevenage who are approaching the end of their life, and people with a loved one who is dying. These funds will help us to trial offering face-to-face support to local people when they need it most.”
