We invite Frinton-on-Sea school pupils to take on our flag design challenge

Pupils from Frinton-on-Sea have helped to design welcome flags that now take pride of place at the entrance to our Samphire Meadow development.

Encouraging our young generations

We challenged children at Hamford Primary School, right next door to the development, to come up with vibrant and imaginative flags that represent the village of Frinton-on-Sea and its beautiful sandy beach.

The pupils, who had been watching the development grow with excitement, created a range of colourful entries, giving our team a tough decision to make. In a spirit of inclusivity and appreciation for the children’s efforts, we extended an invitation for a group of pupils to visit the Samphire Meadow development and see the winning flags flying high.

Teresa Cooper, headteacher at Hamford Primary School, said: “We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for hosting the fun flag design competition for the pupils. They have been fascinated by everything that has been going on at the development next door and this was a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore their artistic talents and feel part of the new community.”
