We support Alresford Watercress Festival with £500 Donation

We are proud to have supported the Alresford Watercress Festival with our contribution of £500 to. The donation provided support for the 200 dedicated volunteers who contributed to the success of the event on Sunday 19th May.

Supporting our communities

The Alresford Watercress Festival, which takes place on the third Sunday in May each year, delighted attendees with bustling street markets, enticing food and drink stalls, cookery demonstrations and a lively kids zone featuring Falcon displays and circus skills.

With an array of attractions catering to all, the vibrant community spirit was clear throughout the day and over £10,000 was raised on the day which will support a number of local groups and charities including the festival’s charity Abby’s Heros.

Simon Evans, Entertainments Manager at the Alresford Watercress Festival, said: "The support from Taylor Wimpey has been invaluable in ensuring our volunteers are well looked after. Their generous donation has helped us provide essential provisions, enabling us to deliver an unforgettable experience for attendees."

The Alresford Watercress Festival has been a huge event for the local community for over two decades, generating over £125,000 in funds for local initiatives and businesses. Our donation reflects our ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of residents and local communities in the areas in which we build.

Located at the edge of New Alresford, close to the historic city of Winchester, Alresford Down is due to launch in spring 2025.
