Welcome to Meadowside
There is a real sense of community at MeadowsideIn the community
We teamed up with the children in Primary 4 at Glenboig Primary School to organise a Christmas card competition. The goal was to bring some Christmas cheer to residents at the nearby Meadowside development by having school children create festive artwork.
The pupils showcased their artistic talents, creating a variety of Christmas card designs that captured the holiday spirit. The competition winners were announced, with the top three places receiving national book vouchers of £50, £30, and £20 to reward the pupils for their efforts and spread some festive cheer.
The winning Christmas card design by Zack has been reproduced and sent as a special greeting to residents at the Meadowside development, adding a personal touch to the festivities within the community. Runners-up were Rowan and Evie.

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: "We're excited about our collaboration with Glenboig Primary and are delighted they accepted our challenge to take part in our Christmas card competition. The pupils' enthusiasm and creativity were impressive, and we hope the winning design adds some festive cheer for our Meadowside residents.
“We're committed to building more than homes; we want to foster vibrant communities, and initiatives like these contribute to that vision."
Gillian Goldie, Acting Head Teacher at Glenboig Primary School, said: "We're delighted to work together with Taylor Wimpey West Scotland for this festive collaboration. Our pupils enjoyed expressing their creativity through the Christmas card competition, and it's great to see their efforts recognised. This initiative not only brings joy to the school but also strengthens the bond within the wider local community."

We challenged Primary 6 pupils of Glenboig Primary School to design a flag to welcome customers and visitors to our Meadowside development, in the North Lanarkshire village of Glenboig.
The winning flag design was created by Primary 6 Morven Campbell, and it has been produced into a flag that now proudly flies at the entrance to the development to provide a warm and colourful welcome to everyone visiting Meadowside. Morven took home a £50 book voucher and recently visited the development to see the flag in situ.

Supporting the community
We continue our support for Glenboig Development Trust with latest donation.
We have made our latest donation of £1,250 to Glenboig Development Trust, as part of our ongoing per plot initiative at the Meadowside development in Glenboig.
This latest contribution brings the total donated so far to £2,800, with £25 pledged for each new home sold and legally completed in the first phase of 161 homes. In total, the initiative will deliver £4,025 to support the work of Glenboig Development Trust and its community hub, The Life Centre.
Located just a short walk from the Meadowside development, The Life Centre plays a vital role in the Glenboig community. It offers a wide range of services and programmes aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of local residents—from senior care and youth activities to family support and community events.
Teresa Aitken, Operations Manager at Glenboig Development Trust, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for this continued support from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. Every donation helps us deliver essential services and projects that make a real difference to people’s lives in Glenboig. On behalf of everyone who benefits from our work, thank you.”
Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “We’re proud to continue our partnership with Glenboig Development Trust. This donation reflects our commitment to supporting the communities around our developments and strengthening the connection between new and existing residents in Glenboig.”
This donation is one of many contributions we make to enhance community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.

Following our recent Make Moving Easier show home event at Meadowside in Glenboig, where visitors were encouraged to visit the development in support of the local Glenboig Life Centre, we are delighted to confirm that a £550 boost has been donated to the group.
This donation is in addition to our ongoing commitment to working in partnership with Glenboig Development Trust, based in the North Lanarkshire village, to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed at Meadowside. As part of that project, a donation of £625 was made, taking the latest donation to £1,175.

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “Following our Make Moving Easier event in Glenboig, we are delighted to be able to support our local charity partner - The Glenboig Life Centre - with this donation to boost their funds which they will use to support the wide range of activities and services they offer to the local community of Glenboig.
“Being able to support and work with local charities and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us, and it’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference in the lives of people in our local communities.”
Commenting on this latest pledge of support, Teresa Aitken, Deputy Operations Manager at Glenboig Development Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful for this ongoing support from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we are thrilled they have raised more funds for us that we will use to provide our wide range of projects to the local community.
“We can’t thank them enough for this latest donation, and we were delighted to see so many members of the local community took the opportunity to visit the development as part of this lovely event for families. On behalf of everyone who benefits from our support and projects in Glenboig, I would like to say a huge thank you.”

At the launch of our development, we teamed up with Glenboig Development Trust to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed within our first phase of 161 new homes at Meadowside.
In total, we will donate a grand sum of £4,025 as work at the development progresses and more of our customers move in. So far, we’ve donated £925, and there’s more in the pipeline.
We have also been involved in helping to transform the Trust’s local community garden and have donated soil, materials, and funding to help the project along. And, in recognition of the local area’s links to the brick industry, we’re also a proud sponsor of a brick within the ‘brick wall’ that takes pride of place within the Life Centre in the village.
