At Taylor Wimpey West London, we recently invited a winning school pupil to receive her prize at our Andover development, The Forum, following her success in a card design competition.
We invited pupils at the nearby Endeavour Primary School to take part in a competition and use their creative skills to design a welcome card for residents at The Forum. A voucher prize was promised to be awarded for the winner of the competition and the winning design to be printed and used as The Forum’s welcome card for new residents.
A number of entries were submitted with Mihaela Racu selected as the winner for her creative design. Mihaela recently visited the development to receive her Amazon voucher prize and be congratulated in person by The Forum sales team.
Following the visit, Kayleigh Hawkins, Business Manager at Endeavour Primary School, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for inviting our pupils to take part in the welcome card competition for The Forum.
“The activity provided our pupils with the opportunity to showcase their budding design skills and we’re proud of all our students for the time and effort they put into creating their entries. We’d like to especially congratulate Mihaela for her amazing submission.”
Emma Watson, Senior Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “We believe in nurturing the creative potential of young people in the areas in which we build, and the welcome home card competition we organised with Endeavour Primary School reflects these values. We were glad to hear Mihaela was delighted with her prize and we would like to thank the pupils and staff at Endeavour Primary School staff for getting behind the competition.”

We have started the year by proudly making a £200 donation of essential grocery and toiletry items to local charity, The Vine Centre in Aldershot. The Vine Centre aims to support some of the most disadvantaged members of its community, enabling individuals to move towards independence, make sustainable change in their lives, reduce social isolation and improve their quality of life.
In addition to a community cupboard, the charity offers outreach services, helping individuals access training and development opportunities, addiction support, mental health and anger management, budgeting and benefit support, counselling and support with homelessness and housing sustainment.
The donation from us has provided essential items for the charity's community food cupboard, open four days a week for its beneficiaries. With several items donated including tinned goods, nappies, essential toiletries and non-perishable food items, the donation from the housebuilder has provided the charity with much needed support at the beginning of 2025.
Carla Green, Client Services Manager at The Vine Centre, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for this kind donation, it’s gone such a long way in providing relief for several families that use our food cupboard and we are really grateful for this.”
