We are pleased to have donated £150 to Sunhill Infant School in support of their summer fete. The donation funded a raffle prize put together to support local businesses including Binky Bear, The Watercress Line, Longbarn, West Lea Farm Shop, Alexander Maps, Chocolate Craft, The Naked Grape and Josies.
Supporting Sunhill Infant School
This contribution marks the beginning of our commitment to community support in Alresford, where our Alresford Down development is set to launch in Spring 2025.Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey, said: "We are delighted to support Sunhill Infant School. Engaging with local communities is at the heart of what we do. We look forward to building strong relationships in Alresford as we move forward with plans."

We Give Boost to Alresford Agricultural Show
We are proud to have supported the community of Alresford with a contribution of £250 to the Alresford Agricultural Show, which took place on the 7th September.
Our donation was put towards the event’s prize money fund and was part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the community local to Alresford Down.
The Alresford Agricultural Show takes place on the first Saturday of September every year in Tichborne Park and celebrates rural life in Alresford and the community residing there. Each year, the park’s cattle grazing land is transformed into the event’s showground with the help of volunteers.
This year’s event saw a footfall of around 12,000 attendees, showcasing prize-winning animals, a variety of horse competitions, local food, drink and shopping stalls, modern and vintage machinery exhibitions, dog shows, and children’s entertainment.
Lorraine Bailey, Secretary for the Alresford Agricultural Show, said: “It was touch and go as to whether the Alresford Show was still on due to the amount of rainfall we had that week, but thanks to the ground management, dedication and sheer determination of the team all went ahead! A big thank you to everyone involved and to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation from the people who made it happen, our members and the public for making it a fantastic day.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: "With construction underway at our Alresford Down development, we are delighted to support the Alresford community ahead of our development’s launch. This event not only allows Alresford residents to enjoy a fun day out but also represents and celebrates the rural identity this community is proud of."
We donate Easter eggs to local foodbank this Easter
We have donated 50 Easter eggs to Winchester Basics Bank which will be handed out to local children as part of its Easter Holiday lunch bags over the Easter school holiday.Over 170 children will receive 10 lunch bags over the school holiday period to compensate for the fact that the schools are closed for Easter and families are not able to access free school meals during this time.
The foodbank has hubs in Weeke, Alresford, Highcliffe, and Bar End and also delivers to families directly if they live too far away from the hubs or have a disability. In April, Winchester Basics Bank will expand its services with the launch of a new hub in Badger Farm Community Centre in order to reduce travel time and cost for families in the South of Winchester.
Angus Kirk, Operations Manager at Winchester Basics Bank, said: “On behalf of everyone at the Winchester Basics Bank, thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this kind donation which will bring joy to children who otherwise may not receive a chocolate egg this Easter.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are delighted to treat local families using Winchester Basics Bank’s services this Easter. It’s always a pleasure to support those in need so that they don’t miss out, whatever their circumstances. We hope the children receiving the Easter Holiday lunch bags enjoy their Easter eggs.”
Our donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding our Alresford Down development and supporting charities that help those in need.
