Couple find Dream Home and Community at Woodlands Chase
Shincy, a Chartered Physiotherapist and Jinso, a Senior Support worker, recently moved into their brand-new home at Woodlands Chase and are embracing their new life in the popular new community.
When asked why they chose to move to Woodlands Chase, Jinso said: “The area is very quiet and calm, it’s well-developed, and incredibly comfortable for us. The proximity to walking areas and nearby shopping makes it an ideal location.”
Shincy and her husband Jinso, decided to buy a new-build home over a pre-owned one and said: “We wanted to ensure that the house would be maintenance and hassle-free. The added benefit of warranties and energy-saving features provided peace of mind and made the decision even easier for us.”
Our reputation as a leading housebuilder sealed the deal for Shincy and Jinso. Shincy said: “The homes were within our budget, and after extensive research, we found Taylor Wimpey to be among the best in the industry. Following our visit to the show homes we were left thoroughly impressed and knew that we wanted to create a life in a Taylor Wimpey home.”
The couple selected a spacious two-bedroom Canford house type at Woodlands Chase. Appreciating the ample space, garden, and two parking spaces, the Canford house type was the perfect fit for their needs and investment.
Commenting on how the garden has enhanced their lives, Jinso said: “We really enjoy spending a lot of time outside gardening, planting and enjoying quality moments together with a cup of tea.”
Having now settled into the Woodlands Chase development, Shincy praised the community and local amenities and said: “It’s turning into a fantastic community. There are schools coming up and nearby shopping complexes which are extremely convenient. Everyone is really friendly and the atmosphere at the development is very peaceful.”
Shincy and Jinso used our cash incentive offer and were given £7,000 towards their home. When asked about their experience with the sales process, Jinso said: “From the very first visit, the sales team was incredibly helpful and friendly. They guided us through every step, from understanding the financials to explaining the building process and finally handing over the keys. We always felt comfortable and well looked after, with every detail attended to and all our questions answered promptly.”
Shincy went on to say: “We would definitely recommend Taylor Wimpey. They provided exceptional support from the initial search, to getting our keys and well after we moved in. Choosing Taylor Wimpey was one of the best decisions we've made.”

ManGang UK Wins Our Community Chest Competition
ManGang UK in Southampton has been awarded £1,000 after being announced as the winner of our Community Chest competition.Residents living in Whiteley and the surrounding areas were invited to nominate a local good cause who deserved a helping hand. Once all of the entries were considered, we awarded ManGang UK with the top prize and the donation will be put towards helping to support the work that they do, raise more awareness and facilitate helping towards more venues.
Andy Cuffley, Director of ManGang UK, said: “We are honoured to be recognised and nominated by the people of Whiteley and chosen as the winner by Taylor Wimpey. This will help us raise general awareness of men's poor mental health and of the work of ManGang UK in particular. Currently we are hoping to open a few new venues and are searching for more volunteer facilitators which will help us to open up the venues, listen to and help the attendees in any way we can by signposting them to other relevant services and organisations.”

Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “It’s been amazing to witness the community come together to make us aware about the causes in the local area that are in need of support. It was great to see the number of nominations we received from the local community throughout this competition and would like to thank everyone who took part.
“We are delighted to support local causes such as ManGang UK. The work they do makes such a positive impact on men’s mental health and well-being. It aligns perfectly with our values of community support and fostering a healthier society. Whiteley School Children Discover Nature at Swanwick Lakes
We have funded a two-day educational adventure for Year 3 pupils at Whiteley Primary School, enabling 60 children to experience the wonders of the natural world at Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve. The visit, which focused on a Rocks and Soils activity, gave the children a chance to deepen their understanding of earth sciences while fostering a love for the outdoors and the experience was carefully designed to complement the school’s science curriculum.
The children explored how rocks are formed, identified different types of soil, and learned about their importance to ecosystems. By getting hands-on with real-world examples, the children gained practical insights into concepts they had previously only encountered in the classroom.
Lesley Pennington, Headteacher at Whiteley Primary School, said: “We are very keen to make use of the outdoors to help bring the curriculum alive and give children memorable experiences which help support their learning. It’s fantastic to have this resource so close to the school, and the learning experiences really helped children’s scientific understanding. We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for helping to facilitate this trip.”
Jess Parsons, Wilder Schools and Communities Officer at Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve, said: “We are always delighted to work with our local schools, and these visits have been a great opportunity to introduce children from Whiteley to the wildlife and wild places on their doorstep. The collaboration with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and NATS enables us to offer these enriching experiences, and we hope to use these visits to continue building relationships with schools, groups and families in the Whiteley area.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are delighted to have supported Whiteley Primary School in providing such a meaningful and engaging learning experience. At Taylor Wimpey, we understand the value of outdoor education in inspiring the next generation. It’s fantastic to see the children learning in such a dynamic and enjoyable way."
Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve is a partnership project between Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and NATS, demonstrating a commitment to protecting wildlife while engaging the local community.
Our support for this educational visit underscores our dedication to fostering strong community ties and promoting opportunities for young people to learn and grow.
