Paignton and Totnes are both within 4 miles of the development and offer a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. There is a primary school within walking distance, and a secondary school just down the road, so St Mary View is perfect for families with children of all ages. Weekends can be spent enjoying a drink or meal out at the local pub, just under half a mile away, or exploring the beautiful countryside and beaches on your doorstep. For family friendly days out Paignton Zoo is just a 5 minute drive or take a trip through the stunning scenery and coastlines of Torbay on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, less than 10 minutes away. Perfectly placed for commuters the A380 and A385 are just a couple of minutes’ drive away for easy access to Exeter, Plymouth and beyond. Paignton train station is 8 minutes’ drive from the development, and the trainline from Paignton to Exeter St Davids is marketed as the "Riviera Line" due to the wonderful views along the Exe Estuary and coastline.

We visited the school as part of our commitment to the local community.
Watcombe Primary School works in partnership with Magic Breakfast, who help provide nutritious breakfast food to the schools free breakfast club, ensuring children start their school day in the best possible way.
David Saunders, School Business Manager at Watcombe Primary School, said: “When Taylor Wimpey Exeter reached out to us regarding Shrove Tuesday, we were ecstatic and knew it would be a lovely surprise for our pupils! Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, allowing them to focus on their lessons and our Wide Awake Breakfast Club does just that.”
According to Magic Breakfast, pupils in primary schools that are receiving breakfast at school achieved, on average, two months’ of additional progress in the course of the school year compared to children in schools without a magic breakfast at key stage one.
Samantha Lillington, Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “The morning I spent with the pupils was great. Seeing their faces light up as we arrived with the pancakes was so special and we look forward to working with Watcombe Primary School on other occasions in the future.”
