The Mayor and Mayoress of Dartford, have officially opened the new show homes at our Knights Reach development in Dartford.
Councillor Andy Lloyd and his wife Diane were special guests at Knights Reach on Tuesday 14th January, where our team guided them through the stunning new show homes, including the three bedroom Keeford and Harrton, the four bedroom Plumdale, and the two bedroom Beaford view home.
During their visit, the Mayor and Mayoress also learned about the exciting plans for the development, which will feature new play areas, an on-site healthcare centre, retail units, a Linear Parkland, and a community orchard, alongside 763 energy-efficient new homes designed to create a thriving and sustainable community.
Councillor Lloyd said: “I was delighted to open the new show homes at this exciting new development and I’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for the invitation. It was brilliant to see how Knights Reach is progressing and to find out about the future plans for the delivery of new homes and facilities for local residents.”
Pupils design warm welcome for new Knights Reach residents
We teamed up with pupils at The Brent Primary School to design a welcome home card for new residents at Knights Reach. The winning design, created by 11-year-old Vihaan, is now given to homeowners when they receive their keys. Vihaan also received a £50 voucher as a thank you.
Vihaan said: “I was really excited to take part in the competition and I’m so happy my design was chosen as the winning entry. I hope it makes people smile when they move into their new homes.”
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the pupils at The Brent School who got involved with our welcome home card competition. The entries were brilliant and we have displayed a selection of our favourites in the sales office at Knights Reach.
“It was tough to choose just one winner but we felt that Vihaan’s design would act as the perfect greeting for our new residents.”

Pupils also had the opportunity to ask questions and each pupil was given a copy of our activity book.Sarah Rye, Headteacher at The Brent Primary School, said: "We’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for visiting our school and talking to the children about such an important subject. The session was engaging and informative, giving our pupils a real understanding of the risks construction sites can pose and how to stay safe."
