First-time buyers choose the Marford home
Sudeep (41) and Shivangi (38) have made the move to the spacious four-bedroom Marford, ideal for families looking for versatile space.Shivangi said: “The Marford offers a perfect balance of space and practicality. As we are both hybrid workers, the layout provides enough room for us to have separate home offices without compromising on family living space. The four well-proportioned bedrooms are perfect for our family right now, but also provide lots of flexibility for the future. We were also drawn to the open-plan kitchen and dining area, which creates a great space for socialising.”

Supporting Hethersett
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local causes, we recently supported Hethersett VC Primary School for National Garden Month with a seed box donation to encourage children to get outdoors and learn more about planting.
National Garden Month takes place annually throughout April to encourage outdoor activity, promote sustainability, and highlight the physical and mental health benefits of gardening.
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local causes, we arranged a visit to Hethersett School to give Year 3 to Year 6 pupils a talk on building homes and new communities, highlighting the importance of safety on and around building sites.
Simon Strudwick, Regional Health and Safety Advisor at Taylor Wimpey, led the talk and said: “We hope our session has given the pupils at Hethersett Woodside Primary and Nursery School valuable information about Taylor Wimpey and a greater understanding of site safety.
“As children are naturally curious, it’s important to make sure they’re aware of the world around them, including how new communities come to be, and making sure they're aware of potential risks and how to remain safe on building sites.”
Celebrating our award winning Site Manager
Shane Janse Van Vuuren has been recognised as one of the best in the UK after winning a second prestigious award.
Following a Quality Award win earlier this year, Shane has received a Pride in the Job 2025 Seal of Excellence Award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC), in recognition of their outstanding work at Heather Gardens in Hethersett.
Now in its 45th year and widely considered the ‘Oscars’ of the house-building industry, Pride in the Job celebrates site managers’ dedication to raising standards in house building, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence. Judging is rigorous and thousands of inspections have taken place to create a shortlist of Excellence Award winners from a longlist of 450 Quality Award winners, placing Shane among the top 5% of site managers in the UK.
Shane said: “I’m extremely proud to have received a Seal of Excellence Award from the NHBC. Me and the team at Heather Gardens strive to provide our customers with high-quality homes, and I’m delighted that our work has been recognised.”
Barry Pennock, Production Director at Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, said: “Receiving a Seal of Excellence award is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to Shane’s dedication to building homes of the very highest quality for our customers.
“We have always been committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service, and our continued recognition as an NHBC award-winning homebuilder reflects that dedication. This award is thoroughly deserved, and we’re incredibly proud of Shane and the team at Heather Gardens.”
