Couple Find Their Dream Home at Northfield View
Wine agent Alfie (25) and Emergency Care Assistant for the East of England Ambulance Service, Demi-Leigh (23), took the leap and purchased their first home together. Searching for accessibility to work and independence, they relocated to Stowmarket and fell in love with Northfield View.
Alfie said: “Northfield View really stood out to us as it’s very accessible to the A14, which is beneficial for me as I travel to different cities within the UK for work. The development was one of the largest we had viewed, but with the most green areas close by, making it feel a lot more like a community.”
As a first-time buyer, Demi-Leigh was interested in new builds. “We chose a new build knowing we can design the house to our own particular taste without the stress of renovations. Plus, the reassurance of warranties that comes with new builds too.”
Alfie added: “I’d bought a new build home before, and the customer service from Taylor Wimpey was beyond what I had previously experienced during the buying process, and Taylor Wimpey also added 5% towards our deposit, which was so helpful. We can’t thank the team at Taylor Wimpey Northfield View enough for making it such a smooth experience!”
The couple fell in love with the three-bedroom Gosford housetype. Demi-Leigh said: “We viewed the showhome and the layout instantly felt homely. It’s an amazing size property in comparison to other new build developments we had viewed, and our plot location is ideal because of the surrounding green space.”
Now settled in, the couple couldn't be happier with their Taylor Wimpey home in Stowmarket. Alfie said: “Since moving to Northfield View, the community has been friendly and welcoming. The accessibility to the development is a huge benefit. All local facilities are very accessible and there is plenty around to fulfil all our needs without having to travel too far.
“The nearby train station makes it easier for our relatives who can’t drive to still come and visit, so we’ve already been able to invite family and friends over for dinners and enjoy dog walks around the woods.”
Northfield View currently has a selection of two, three, and four-bedroom sustainable homes available priced from £270,000. These homes are built with energy efficiency in mind, including smart heating and insulation, allowing buyers to benefit from lower energy bills and lower emissions.

New Beginnings for First Time Buyer Couple at Northfield View
After deciding to take the leap and purchase their first home, Luke (25) and Kirra (23), were ready for a change. Seeking independence with easy access to work, they relocated to Stowmarket and soon found themselves falling in love with Northfield View.
Luke said: “We picked Northfield View as it was a central location between my work in Bury St Edmunds and Kirra’s work in Ipswich. We like how green and open the development is as well as its closeness to shops and the town centre.”
The couple used the Deposit Match Scheme, where Taylor Wimpey matched their 5% deposit. This scheme allows house hunters to gain a larger deposit to make their monthly repayments smaller, making it easier for them to purchase their dream home.

Luke said: “We loved the fact it was all ready to go so we could just decorate when we moved in. We also liked that we could pick exactly what carpets, flooring, and kitchen we wanted.”
When asked about what they love about owning their first home, Kirra added: “Our favourite part of coming home is just being able to relax and not worry about sorting anything out. It is all done for us so we can just pick the fun decoration bits now.”
The couple chose for the three-bedroom Yewdale housetype, which suited their lifestyle perfectly. Kirra explained: “We bought the Yewdale as we loved how open, light and airy it is. There is room for us to grow. Plus, we also liked the fact it’s detached and has its own parking spaces.”
From the first viewing to moving in, the buying process was smooth and stress-free, thanks to the dedicated Taylor Wimpey team. Luke said: “The buying process was really smooth and easy. The team was great at guiding us through the process, and answering any questions or worries we had.”

New Beginnings for Couple at Northfield View
After years of city living in Norwich, Danny (33) and Sandra (28), were ready for a change. Seeking a more rural lifestyle with easy access to work, they relocated to Stowmarket and soon found themselves falling in love with Northfield View. After renting in the development for a couple of years, the couple knew it was the perfect place to put down roots and purchase their first home.
Danny said: “We were immediately drawn to Northfield View – it offered everything we were looking for. After renting here, we quickly realised no other development could match the value for money and the outstanding customer service we experienced. It felt like the perfect place to call home.”
As first-time buyers, Danny and Sandra wanted a move-in ready home without the stress of renovations. With Taylor Wimpey’s strong reputation and glowing reviews, the choice was easy.
Sandra said: “Having rented in an earlier phase of the development, we saw firsthand the high construction standards and attention to detail. We’d heard stories from friends about the difficulties of buying older properties, so choosing a new build gave us complete peace of mind.”
The couple opted for the Braxton house type, which suited their lifestyle perfectly. Danny explained: “The Braxton’s layout is fantastic. It offers great versatility, with enough space for a home office, generous living areas, and a secluded primary bedroom suite that feels like a private retreat. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew it was the right fit for us.”
From the first viewing to moving in, the buying process was smooth and stress-free, thanks to the dedicated Taylor Wimpey team. Sandra said: “Jacky and Rachael, the sales execs, were amazing – they provided weekly updates and answered all our questions, making the whole experience effortless. Dale and Jack, the site team, gave us valuable insights into the build, while Rachel explained every feature of our new home in detail. Their care and attention made all the difference.”
Now settled in, the couple couldn’t be happier. “It still feels surreal that this is our home,” Danny added. “It’s everything we dreamed of and more. The Taylor Wimpey team have been fantastic, regularly checking in to ensure we’re completely satisfied. The whole experience has exceeded our expectations.”
So much so, that they are now encouraging their friends to consider buying with Taylor Wimpey.
“We can’t recommend Taylor Wimpey enough,” Sandra said. “The customer service has been exceptional, and they genuinely care about their buyers. We’ve already convinced some of our friends to visit Northfield View, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone looking for a new home.”
New chapter for resident at Northfield View
Janet Lucas, aged 77, a retired homeowner who had been living in the same three-bedroom detached home in Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex for over 50 years, decided to move closer to her family and recently relocated to our Northfield View development in Stowmarket.
"I lived in my old house for 58 years," Janet explained. "My husband and I moved in when we got married, and after he passed away last year, I was on my own. My family came to visit, but it was a long way, so they eventually persuaded me to move closer to them. They promised my husband they would make sure I was ok, and after thinking long and hard about it, I decided to make the move."
Janet was introduced to Northfield View by her daughter, who already lives on the Northfield View development, and suggested considering a new build rather than a bungalow in the area that needed too much work. After seeing the Gosford house type, Janet was immediately impressed.
"I chose the Gosford because I liked the kitchen/diner, and it has 3 bedrooms, one of which has an en suite. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the layout felt perfect for me."
As part of the Easymover scheme, Janet found the process of moving much more manageable. "The buying journey was a bit stressful because I’d never moved before, but everyone involved was great. Jacky in the Sales Office was especially helpful, phoning me every week to guide me through everything."
Since moving in, Janet has been enjoying life in her new home, especially with her family so close by. "Everyone on site is very friendly and helpful," she said. "The area is more countryfied, with lots of open spaces. Local amenities are great too, with doctors nearby and a shop on-site in case I forget anything."
Choosing a new build was a relief for Janet. "As I’m getting on in years, I wanted to avoid worrying about the upkeep of an older property," she explained. "A brand new house with everything included was the perfect choice for starting a new chapter in my life."
