Purchasing a new build stemmed from several key factors for the family. "Firstly, with a young child we lacked the time, resources and energy to undertake a renovation project on a pre-existing home. Secondly, we prioritised a smooth and stress-free experience for our first home purchase. The peace of mind associated with a new property was a significant factor as well as the two-year Taylor Wimpey warranty which provided invaluable reassurance."
The family opted for the four-bedroom Manford home which met all of their needs. Juan said: "The Manford house type perfectly meets all our requirements for not only a first home but ideally, our "forever home." I personally love that I finally have a dedicated home office which also proved to be a crucial factor in our decision-making process as I work remotely."

Juan said: “My roots lie in Newham in East London where I spent my formative years and most of my life. When my first child, Perla arrived, I wished for a quieter life, a place with sprawling green spaces where my child and future children could flourish.”

“Our home offers a generous living area, four spacious double bedrooms, a convenient garage, a large garden and a private driveway. Plus, the captivating view of the rolling Suffolk countryside is truly an idyllic scene to wake up to each morning.”
Settling into their new home has been thoroughly enjoyable. "We're really enjoying our new home and the welcoming community that surrounds it. The transition from London has been seamless, and we have no desire to return to the urban environment. Our daughter is thriving in her new nursery, and our dog delights in the ample opportunities for exploration offered by the surrounding countryside. Most importantly, the idyllic setting and fresh air have had a profoundly positive impact on our overall mental and physical well-being."
Juan and his family are thrilled to be a part of a vibrant community, encouraging their loved ones to purchase a home from Taylor Wimpey. "Our satisfaction with Northfield View has been so profound that we actively encourage friends and family to visit us and experience the development first hand. We were even able to convince close friends to buy with Taylor Wimpey and they have now purchased their first home here as well!"
New Beginnings for Couple at Northfield View
After years of city living in Norwich, Danny (33) and Sandra (28), were ready for a change. Seeking a more rural lifestyle with easy access to work, they relocated to Stowmarket and soon found themselves falling in love with Northfield View. After renting in the development for a couple of years, the couple knew it was the perfect place to put down roots and purchase their first home.
Danny said: “We were immediately drawn to Northfield View – it offered everything we were looking for. After renting here, we quickly realised no other development could match the value for money and the outstanding customer service we experienced. It felt like the perfect place to call home.”
As first-time buyers, Danny and Sandra wanted a move-in ready home without the stress of renovations. With Taylor Wimpey’s strong reputation and glowing reviews, the choice was easy.
Sandra said: “Having rented in an earlier phase of the development, we saw firsthand the high construction standards and attention to detail. We’d heard stories from friends about the difficulties of buying older properties, so choosing a new build gave us complete peace of mind.”
The couple opted for the Braxton house type, which suited their lifestyle perfectly. Danny explained: “The Braxton’s layout is fantastic. It offers great versatility, with enough space for a home office, generous living areas, and a secluded primary bedroom suite that feels like a private retreat. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew it was the right fit for us.”
From the first viewing to moving in, the buying process was smooth and stress-free, thanks to the dedicated Taylor Wimpey team. Sandra said: “Jacky and Rachael, the sales execs, were amazing – they provided weekly updates and answered all our questions, making the whole experience effortless. Dale and Jack, the site team, gave us valuable insights into the build, while Rachel explained every feature of our new home in detail. Their care and attention made all the difference.”
Now settled in, the couple couldn’t be happier. “It still feels surreal that this is our home,” Danny added. “It’s everything we dreamed of and more. The Taylor Wimpey team have been fantastic, regularly checking in to ensure we’re completely satisfied. The whole experience has exceeded our expectations.”
So much so, that they are now encouraging their friends to consider buying with Taylor Wimpey.
“We can’t recommend Taylor Wimpey enough,” Sandra said. “The customer service has been exceptional, and they genuinely care about their buyers. We’ve already convinced some of our friends to visit Northfield View, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone looking for a new home.”
New chapter for resident at Northfield View
Janet Lucas, aged 77, a retired homeowner who had been living in the same three-bedroom detached home in Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex for over 50 years, decided to move closer to her family and recently relocated to our Northfield View development in Stowmarket.
"I lived in my old house for 58 years," Janet explained. "My husband and I moved in when we got married, and after he passed away last year, I was on my own. My family came to visit, but it was a long way, so they eventually persuaded me to move closer to them. They promised my husband they would make sure I was ok, and after thinking long and hard about it, I decided to make the move."
Janet was introduced to Northfield View by her daughter, who already lives on the Northfield View development, and suggested considering a new build rather than a bungalow in the area that needed too much work. After seeing the Gosford house type, Janet was immediately impressed.
"I chose the Gosford because I liked the kitchen/diner, and it has 3 bedrooms, one of which has an en suite. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the layout felt perfect for me."
As part of the Easymover scheme, Janet found the process of moving much more manageable. "The buying journey was a bit stressful because I’d never moved before, but everyone involved was great. Jacky in the Sales Office was especially helpful, phoning me every week to guide me through everything."
Since moving in, Janet has been enjoying life in her new home, especially with her family so close by. "Everyone on site is very friendly and helpful," she said. "The area is more countryfied, with lots of open spaces. Local amenities are great too, with doctors nearby and a shop on-site in case I forget anything."
Choosing a new build was a relief for Janet. "As I’m getting on in years, I wanted to avoid worrying about the upkeep of an older property," she explained. "A brand new house with everything included was the perfect choice for starting a new chapter in my life."
We opted for a new build to suit our busy work schedules
"Kyra and I both have full time, busy jobs so a new build was ideal for us and eliminated the stress that a home-renovation project would bring. The Braxton features a contemporary style and clean layout and when we moved in there was very little that needed doing to our home."
The couple are thrilled with their Taylor Wimpey home: "We chose a Taylor Wimpey home for the company's excellent reputation, plus we were really impressed with the high-standard of homes. We were amazed with the three-storey Braxton - the bedrooms are large and we're able to fit a double bed in each one! We absolutely love the 'lootility' as well and we were searching for a home with a kitchen/diner at the back so this is perfect for us."
Kierin and Kyra found the process of buying their home with Taylor Wimpey to be exceptionally straightforward: "The sales executives made our purchasing process simple, they kept us well-informed at each stage and it was all seamless."
Having lived in their new home for nearly seven months, Kierin and Kyra are thrilled with their decision: "We're really enjoying life at Northfield View. The community is great, everyone is friendly and helpful and we'll continue to recommend Taylor Wimpey to other people who are looking to buy - we absolutely love our home!"
Family thrilled with their new build home
Kierin and Kyra had their hearts set on a new build for modern-day living as well as convenience, and were amazed with our three-storey Braxton home on our Northfield View development.
The couple and their three year old son decided to swap their cosy apartment in Bury St Edmunds for a three-bedroom family home after falling in love with Northfield View. Kierin said: "We viewed many new build developments within the Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket area but liked the look and feel of this one the most.
We love that Northfield View has lots of green open space
“As we have a three year old son, the family atmosphere and play parks really drew us in - we love that Northfield View has lots of green open space for our little one and is extremely spacious.”
The couple opted for a new build to suit their busy work schedules: "Kyra and I both have full time, busy jobs so a new build was ideal for us and eliminated the stress that a home-renovation project would bring. The Braxton features a contemporary style and clean layout and when we moved in there was very little that needed doing to our home."
