We support Our Mickleover Santa grotto with festive donation
We have supported a much-loved local festive event by sponsoring Our Mickleover’s annual Santa’s Grotto, helping to bring Christmas cheer to children and families in the community.Our Mickleover is a community group that organises local events for residents throughout the year, with the Santa’s Grotto that forms part of Mickleover Christmas Festival being one of its most popular from January through December.
Each year, Santa welcomes between 100 and 120 children to join him in celebrating the magic of Christmas, with every child receiving an age-appropriate present as part of their visit.
Taylor Wimpey donated £300 towards the cost of the presents, ensuring that every child attending the grotto this year received a gift and enjoyed a memorable festive experience.
The event took place close to Taylor Wimpey’s Arnett Grove development, reflecting the housebuilder’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it builds.
David Lewis, Director at Our Mickleover, said: “We are really grateful to Taylor Wimpey North Midlands for their generous donation towards the presents for our annual Santa’s Grotto. This support has helped us bring joy and festive magic to over 120 local children and their families during our recent Mickleover Christmas Festival. It is partnerships like this that make our community events so special and successful.”
