The city, recently granted official status, is home to major head offices and industry hubs, making it ideal for work. Show Homes and Sales Office Launch
We're thrilled to have officially opened our Salden Place East aales area and four stunning show homes.
On Saturday 27th September, Cheyanna Norman from MK Dons’ Women’s Team officially opened our Salden Place East with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This collaboration with MK Dons recognises Milton Keynes as an exciting sports hub, with Salden Place looking to join this legacy with the growth of the community, featuring sports pitches, tennis courts, and a designated running route around the development.
Throughout the day, visitors were invited to celebrate and explore our four impressive new show homes, including the three-bedroom Densale, the three-bedroom Harrton, the four-bedroom Trelton, and the five-bedroom Aireton, all with our expert Sales Executives on hand with guidance on purchasing a new-build.
Each of the show homes are expertly designed to allow house hunters to see what it’s like to live in a Taylor Wimpey home, with a nod to the National Badminton Centre based in Milton Keynes through the decor. Plus, refreshments including coffees and cakes were available from the Aylesbury-based Drip & Drive Co.
Fiona Lloyd, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, said: “We were thrilled with the turnout for our Salden Place East development and show home launch. Having Cheyanna Norman take part in our official launch for Salden Place East was a wonderful experience for the Taylor Wimpey team and visitors to our new development. With the development set to have sports amenities for residents, it was a great chance for a local member of the sporting community to see what’s to come at Salden Place. This new development is set to bring energy-efficient homes, and the chance for residents to establish roots in a growing community. We encourage any interested buyers looking to make the move close to Milton Keynes to visit us, or contact the knowledgeable Sales Team. We are looking forward to welcoming new residents to the development!”
We're so excited to be able to have customers visit us and what this fantastic new development has to offer. It's the place to be!
We inspire creativity with a school welcome card competition
We asked pupils at Chestnuts Primary School to design welcome cards to be shared with new residents at our Salden Place East development.
This competition allowed children to get in touch with their creativity, and the winning design was printed and shared to welcome our new residents home. We selected three deserving winners; first place was Rosie, followed by Isaac in second place and Alvin in third place. We can’t thank the children enough for their wonderful entries and incredible effort.
They have all been awarded gift vouchers and Rosie’s winning design has been transformed into a card which will be shared with residents when they move into their new homes at the development.
Becky Skillings, Head Teacher, at Chestnuts Primary School said: “It was a fabulous opportunity for the children to use their imagination and creativity. The children were so excited to have a real life purpose for their work and we are incredibly proud of all their efforts. Sharing the winners in assembly and seeing the joy in the faces of our winners, as well as the celebration and support of their peers was magical. Thanks to Taylor Wimpey for giving our children this opportunity.”
We hope our new residents enjoy the warm welcome!
We raise thousands for charity at annual awards dinner
We hosted our annual Subcontractor Awards on 7th March 2025, as a thank you to our contractors, suppliers and consultants and to also raise money for charity. In total, the raffle and auction held at the event raised £13,455 which was split between the our chosen charities for the year: Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Willen Hospice.CRY, based in Leatherhead, Surrey, aims to prevent cardiac deaths in young people through awareness, screening and research. This includes testing around 30,000 young people each year to screen for undiagnosed heart conditions and prevent complications and potentially fatal cardiac arrests from heart defects that have gone unnoticed. The charity also funds a world-renowned research centre in London and a unique Bereavement Support Network for those affected by the devastation of a sudden cardiac death in a young person. The money raised for CRY is being ringfenced for use across Milton Keynes, ensuring it stays local and directly supports the local community.
Dr Steven Cox, CEO Executive of CRY, said: “As CRY receives no government funding, our nationwide screening programme is only possible because of the backing CRY receives from families, local communities and the generosity of businesses across the UK (such as the team at Taylor Wimpey, South Midlands). This incredible support enables us to provide this service free to the public.
“These services are so important, and I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands who took part in the quiz night which has led to over £6,000 being raised! Every penny and pound raised really does make a difference to our ongoing mission of saving young lives and we’re always so grateful for the efforts of both individuals and companies who choose to support CRY.”
Anita Crombet-Beolens, Willen at Home Clinical Nurse Specialist, said: “Last year our Willen at Home team supported 734 patients in their own homes. It’s an incredibly vital service within Milton Keynes, and one that is entirely funded by charitable donations. We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generosity, which will help me and my team to continue caring for our patients in the community.”
Fiona Lloyd, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, added: “We are delighted to support CRY and Willen Hospice with these donations. Both of these charities provide essential, life changing services to people across the region.”

We help out Chestnuts Primary School with a new fence
We teamed up with one of our trusted landscape suppliers Vennscapes Ltd. to install a brand-new picket fence at Chestnuts Primary School in West Bletchley. The old fence was unstable and needed replacing to keep the kids safe. Now, the new fence not only looks great but also makes the play area safer for everyone.Fiona Lloyd, our Sales and Marketing Director, said, “We’re thrilled to support Chestnuts Primary with this new fence. It looks fantastic, and the kids can now enjoy their outdoor play area safely. Supporting our local communities is super important to us, especially when it comes to creating safe and inspiring places for children to thrive.”
Becky Skillings, Head Teacher at Chestnuts Primary, added, “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey. The new fence has really tidied up our environment and allowed us to use our funds to support the children instead of repairs. The kids were so excited to see the new fence and are loving the improved space.”
This particular school is just 0.8 miles from the development so could be perfectly placed for future residents to access and the project highlights our commitment to supporting local communities.
Our Partnership with Milton Keynes College
We Support Milton Keynes College Student of the Year Awards

Welcome to the neighbourhood
If you're looking for a place to put down roots for your family for the future in buzzing and well connected Milton Keynes, then Salden Place is the perfect place to settle.
Although the development is in it's infancy, there are plans for this development to suit families and professionals for many years to come. The plans include schools, a local centre with shops for the essentials, a community orchard, sports facilities, and most importantly a community at it's heart. Our homes have been carefully designed to suit modern lifestyles and have attractive facades.
We have been building new homes in Milton Keynes for many years now, and currently have another one of our developments nearby (Bronze Park) and find that our customers love the location along with the knowledge that they are buying from a reputable house builder. Salden Place East will continue this trend for the next generation of purchasers.
