Supporting music education in Cambourne
We have recently donated £7,000 towards the purchase of a baby grand piano at Cambourne Village College.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Cambourne Village College, we donated the baby grand piano to give all students at the college access to the instrument, which will enrich music education, while providing opportunities that will benefit the whole community.
Alongside out donation, the college is also launching an annual Taylor Wimpey Piano Competition, which is open to all abilities so every student can showcase their skills and progress.
The piano will make its public debut at Cambourne Village College’s GCSE showcase in late October 2025, where Year 11 pupils will perform their solo coursework pieces to a live audience. It will also feature in a number of events, including the first rounds of the Taylor Wimpey Piano Competition in December and January, and the much-loved Sixth Form “Carols around the Piano”.
