First time buyers take first step onto property ladder at Bramcote Grange
First time buyers Jay (28) and Georgia (26), moved from their parents’ homes to their new home at Bramcote Grange in July 2025.
When asked why they opted for a new build home rather than a pre-owned one as their first home, Georgia said: “We chose a new build for several reasons -they require practically no DIY when you move in, are more energy efficient with features like solar panels and triple glazing, and there was also the option to design the interior exactly how we wanted.”
“We were already set on buying a Taylor Wimpey home and, when we visited Bramcote Grange, the sales team really sold the development to us. It’s nicely tucked away in a quiet corner of Nuneaton, close to the countryside.”
Jay and Georgia used our 5% deposit contribution incentive, helping them save money on their purchase. Commenting on the buying process, Jay said: “The buying experience with Taylor Wimpey was great - everything was simple and smooth-running and the sales team really made our experience special. The deposit contribution also really helped us as first time buyers.”
The couple chose the three bedroom Byford house type as their first home. Ideal for first time buyers, the Byford features an open plan kitchen/diner with double doors leading to the rear garden - perfect for a summer barbeque. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, one which comes with an ensuite, and a third single bedroom which could also be used as a home office or nursery.
Commenting on their new home, Georgia said: “Our favourite feature of the Byford is definitely the space we have - there is more than enough space in each room, which is great.”

Nuneaton scouts get creative with bird box painting competition
We challenged Nuneaton District Scouts to take part in a bird box painting competition. Over 100 cubs, aged eight to ten-years-old, took part across the district, with the three most eye-catching designs chosen as the winners. We supplied the bird boxes and paints to the scout groups, briefing the children to create bold, colourful designs that reflected their personal interests.
Steven Haynes, District Lead Volunteer at Nuneaton District Scouts, said: “It is wonderful to see cubs from around the Nuneaton District getting creative while also engaging with the community. Around 100 cubs had the opportunity to design and paint birdboxes provided by Taylor Wimpey, which will be displayed around its Bramcote Grange development’s showhome and in the scouts’ own gardens.”
“We hope that this competition not only encouraged the cubs to think creatively, but also helped to spark an interest in nature and the different ways they can help nature thrive from their own gardens.”
Nuneaton RUFC Sponsorship

Nuneaton RFC, a cornerstone of the local community, has a long-standing tradition of nurturing young talent and promoting rugby as a sport for all.
Tom Cook, Age Grade Chair of Nuneaton RFC, added: “This support from Taylor Wimpey Midlands is invaluable to our Age Grade Section, their generous contribution has made a huge difference in our efforts to provide a subsidised playing shirt for our Age Grade Members, giving them a clear identity whilst representing NRFC in both Home and Away fixtures. We're most grateful for their sponsorship."
Matthew Kendall, Sales & Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to support Nuneaton RFC’s Mini and Juniors teams. As a company that values its connection to the communities where we build, it is important for us to give back and invest in local sports clubs. We hope that this sponsorship helps the players feel confident in their kit and in playing for their team with pride. We wish them the best of luck for the season ahead!”
Raising money for our communities
Five team members bravely participated in the skydive, surpassing their original fundraising target while contributing to a cause close to the local community. This marks another successful initiative in our ongoing partnership with the charity. In an effort to support The Lily Mae Foundation, we raised an impressive £3,188—well above our initial target of £1,600. The charity, which provides vital support to families affected by baby loss, benefits from initiatives like this to fund services such as memory boxes, counselling, and professional training. The event, organised by our Midlands team's Charity Committee, reflects our commitment to giving back to our community. This skydive is part of a year-long partnership, with more fundraising events planned, including a charity golf day in September.
Nuneaton school designs road safety signs for Bramcote Grange
We recently partnered with Chetwynd Junior School in Nuneaton to raise road safety awareness at our new Bramcote Grange development.
We invited pupils to design creative road safety signs that would encourage safe driving around the development. The winning design, created by 8-year-old Joshua, is now proudly displayed across the site, with him also receiving a £50 Amazon voucher as a reward.
The initiative is set to have a lasting impact on Bramcote Grange, reminding residents and visitors to drive carefully, in the hope of creating a safer environment for everyone, especially families and children living in the community.
Amanpreet Panesar, PSHE and RE Lead at Chetwynd Junior School, said: “This competition has been a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to showcase their creativity while learning about the importance of road safety in the area where they live.”
We sponsor new kits for youth swim club camp
We’ve proudly sponsored two local swim clubs in Leamington Spa and Nuneaton on a trip to Torremolinos, Spain for its spring 2025 swim camp.
Both Leamington Spa ASC and Nuneaton and Bedworth SC benefited from our £1,000 sponsorship, which provided training kits for the teams.
A total of 34 swimmers, aged between 13 and 18, took part in the overseas swim camp, accompanied by four coaches and four team managers.
The sponsorship is part of our commitment to supporting local communities near our new homes developments in Nuneaton at Bramcote Grange and in Leamington Spa at The Asps.
Graham Nash, Head Coach at Leamington Spa Swim Club, said: “Taylor Wimpey’s sponsorship made it possible for our team to look professional while attending an incredible swim camp in Spain. It was a fantastic life experience for the children, and both the team and the wider club are truly thankful for the company’s support.”
