First-time buyer family settles down in their forever home

After living in a rented home nearby, Mark (39) and Leanne (34) decided to move to the Heather Gardens development with their family. Mark said: “Our boys go to Woodside School and Nursery so the location was perfect for us because of its convenient location. We also love the feel of the development, and the balance between being close to local amenities while still having a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere.”

Mark and Leanne moved into the Braxton Special housetype, a three-storey, three-bedroom home ideal for families. Mark told us: “We chose the Braxton Special because of the layout and the amount of space it offers. The design feels modern and practical, and we especially liked the open feel of the home and the way the rooms are laid out across the different floors. The real selling point for us was the master bedroom with the ensuite, the whole house really had the wow factor.”

Leanne added: “The top floor bedroom was one of the biggest selling points for us. It gives the home a really spacious feel and creates a private area that feels separate from the rest of the house. It’s one of our favourite features. “We love having the extra separation of space. The layout makes the home feel much bigger and gives each area its own purpose, while still feeling connected and cosy.”

The family is thoroughly enjoying life in their new home at Heather Gardens. Leanne told us: “Our favourite part is knowing we’re coming back to a place that truly feels like our own. The house feels calm, comfortable, and somewhere we can really relax. We feel it's perfect for us as a family of four and still feels like a dream!

“We’re really enjoying settling into our new home. It already feels comfortable and welcoming, and we’re excited to continue making it our own. We feel like we are living our dream, we could have only ever wished to live in a home as beautiful as ours. The finish of our house is just amazing and it feels so perfect for us.”

Mark added: “We’ve had a really positive experience at Heather Gardens so far. The development feels friendly and well planned, and we like having good local amenities and transport links nearby. All of our surrounding neighbours are friendly and are just as pleased as us. There are still houses being built and lots of the Taylor Wimpey site team around, but everyone is so friendly. Someone that stands out is Shane the Site Manager. He has been so friendly since we met him for our site visit and since then he has been so helpful with any questions we’ve had. He is always so polite and we’ve built a lovely relationship with him. We feel very lucky he is the site manager for our development as he is very good at what he does.”
