Finding the perfect place to call home

After renting a two-bedroom apartment in Milton Keynes, couple Sreejith (35) and Renjini (32) decided it was time to purchase their first home together at Salden Place. Sreejith told us: “As a first-time buyer leaving rented accommodation, we chose Taylor Wimpey because of the quality of the homes, the helpful support throughout the buying process, and the availability of schemes that made purchasing our first home more affordable.”

After visiting Taylor Wimpey’s Salden Place development, they both fell in love with the location. Renjini said: “We moved from another area of Milton Keynes, around 15 minutes away from Salden Place. We chose the Salden Place development because of its convenient location, the plans for the estate, and the opportunity to be part of a completely new neighbourhood.”

As first-time buyers, Sreejith and Renjini discussed their buying journey. Renejini said: “As first-time buyers, our journey was very positive. “We used the 5% deposit contribution scheme, which helped us a lot by increasing our deposit and improving our chances of getting a better mortgage rate. It was an important factor in our decision, but it wasn't the only reason we chose Taylor Wimpey. We also really liked the location and the new neighbourhood at Salden Place.” 
Sreejith and Renjini made the move into the three-bedroom Eynsford house type, which has space for everyone. Renjini told us: “We chose the Eynsford house type because we really liked its design. The layout and overall style of the house stood out to us and suited what we were looking for in a new home.

“Our favourite part about coming home is the garden. It’s a great space to relax and enjoy some fresh air.”

Sreejith added: “We chose a new-build property because we wanted a brand-new home with modern features, good energy efficiency, and less maintenance compared to an older property.”

Now settled into their home at Salden Place, Sreejith and Renjini are enjoying their time at home and the new community in Milton Keynes, Renejini told us: “Now that we’ve moved in, we think Salden Place East is a great development. It feels modern, well planned, and a nice place to live. The best thing about it is the peaceful environment and the strong sense of a new, growing community, along with convenient local facilities nearby.

“We are really enjoying life in our new home. It feels comfortable, modern, and exactly what we were looking for. We’re happy with the space and the overall living experience so far.”
