The couple were already familiar with the Dartford area thanks to Grace’s family connections nearby, which is what first led them to explore the Knights Reach development. Brad said: “When we visited, our first impression was how well looked after everything was. The houses looked really well presented and the whole development felt very welcoming.”
Location played a big role in their decision. The development’s proximity to one of the area’s most popular shopping and leisure destinations was a huge plus. Brad said: “Being so close to Bluewater Shopping Centre was a big factor for us. It’s only a short drive away, so we can easily get anything we need.”
After exploring the available homes, the couple chose the two bedroom Beaford house type, which offered the perfect layout for their lifestyle. Brad said: “It’s just the two of us at the moment, so the Beaford offered more than enough space. We really liked the open-plan layout downstairs, and having a separate utility room was a big selling point. Since moving in, it’s become one of our favourite features as it keeps everything separate from the kitchen. We also love the doors that lead straight out onto the garden as they make the space feel really open, and Winnie especially enjoys having her own outdoor space.”
Choosing a new build home was an easy decision for the couple who were keen to avoid any renovation projects and wanted to benefit from modern energy-efficient features. Brad explained: “One of the main reasons we chose a new build was that there was nothing that needed doing. Everything is brand new and built to the latest regulations. The high EPC rating and solar panels also mean our bills are much cheaper, which is a big benefit.”
