Taking the first step on the property ladder

After renting a two-bedroom apartment  just outside of Milton Keynes, couple Ayushi and Rohit decided to purchase their first home. Ayushi said: “We had already heard great things from a friend who bought their first home with Taylor Wimpey. After comparing several developers and developments, Taylor Wimpey stood out as the best value for money in our preferred location.”


After visiting Taylor Wimpey’s Hadley Grange development, they both loved the location. Rohit told us: “We were living in Bletchley previously and enjoyed the location however we wanted a quieter residential neighbourhood with safer surroundings and a lively town centre. We really liked Leighton Buzzard due to its charm and connectivity to London and thought that Hadley Grange was a good option for us.”

Aysuhi and Rohit made the move into the four-bedroom Elliston house type, ideal for families with a spacious top floor bedroom and en suite. Ayushi told us: “Having a three-storey home is great and our favourite part would be the sheer amount of space now available to us to decorate and grow into as a couple who loves to make their home a reflection of their personal style.”


Rohit added: “The loft bedroom is our favourite part of the house. We love seeing the reactions from friends and family when they first walk in - it always feels like such a lovely surprise. It gets beautiful light, and the amount of space it gives us makes it feel like a home we can truly grow into.”

 

As first-time buyers, Ayushi and Rohit discussed their buying journey. Ayushi told us: “We were initially quite nervous, however, the process was fairly quick and simple with Taylor Wimpey, and the team was wonderful and helpful at all times."

“The best part of our buying journey would be the moving day when we stepped into it for the first time. That day was made even more special by Taylor Wimpey when they clicked a cute polaroid of us outside our very first home.”

Now settled into their home at Hadley Grange at Clipstone Park, Ayushi and Rohit are enjoying their time at home and the new community in Leighton Buzzard. Rohit told us: “We think Hadley Grange is a great place for a new start. We can see so many young families who have moved here and with the ample amount of playing areas, green open spaces and new infrastructure available. We think Hadley Grange is a fantastic neighbourhood to start afresh without breaking the bank as a first-time buyer.”

Ayushi added: “We love the view of the open green space from the living room and the beautiful natural light that fills the house throughout the day. It feels airy and comfortable, and we are enjoying decorating it bit by bit at our own pace. We love coming home to our south-facing kitchen and garden which gets beautiful light in summer evenings and makes for a cosy place for us to catch up over a cuppa after a long day at work.”
