Welcome to Backwell Grove
We’re excited to share that our proposals are designed to bring a range of benefits to the wider community, not just new homes.
As part of our plans, we’ll be making several financial contributions to support local initiatives, all in close collaboration with the relevant local authorities.
These contributions will be delivered through a Section 106 Agreement and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
Some examples of what these might include are:
- Car Club Provision
- Improvements to the Meadow Close bus stop
- Traffic Regulation Orders and funding for parking restrictions
- Sustainable Travel Vouchers
- Fire Hydrants
- Enhancements to Green Infrastructure
Local investment
A home is more than just a house, it’s also about the community that surrounds it. And that’s why we invest in building communities that support local businesses, improve facilities in the area and help bring people together.
North Somerset charity named winner of our Community Chest competition
Off The Record (OTR) North Somerset has been awarded a £500 donation from our Bristol team after being announced as the winner of our Community Chest competition.
Established in 1965, OTR began as a joint initiative between Bristol Association of Youth Clubs and Bristol Marriage and Family Guidance Council. Today, OTR provides free-to-access mental health support and services for young people aged 11-18 from across North Somerset, and 11-25s in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
OTR’s North Somerset branch, located on Rodney Road in Backwell, has been awarded the £500 which will go towards continuing to provide vital support for young people in the area.
Kirstin Young at OTR North Somerset, said: "The funds will be greatly appreciated by our team, and will enable us to continue supporting young people in North Somerset."
