This second donation represents a further 68 homes sold and legally completed, with £25 pledged for every new home. Combined with the initial £975 contribution made in August 2025, we have now donated £2,675 to support Dunbar Shed's work. As construction continues towards the full delivery of 245 new homes, the initiative will ultimately provide £6,125 in total funding for the charity.
Dunbar Shed, a registered charity offers a well-equipped workshop run by skilled volunteers, providing a welcoming space for adults to connect, learn new skills, and contribute to community projects that benefit the town and its environment. Previous projects have included hedgehog houses for the Pledgehog Project, sleeper benches, raised beds for nurseries, and bird boxes.

Local investment
We believe it’s our responsibility to support our communities, so that people are proud to call them home. That’s why we regularly donate time and money to local causes, and are passionate about investing in the areas we build.

Dunbar Minis RFC
Once again, the annual Dunbar Rugby Football Club’s minis tournament, sponsored by Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, has been a massive success with hundreds of children participating in this fun event. This year’s event, held at Hallhill Sports Centre in Dunbar, involved around 450 primary school children from Berwick, North Berwick, Duns, Gifford Goblins, Haddington, and GHA (Glasgow) for an exhilarating day of rugby.
The Dunbar Rugby Minis Tournament, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, is a prime example of community involvement. Kirsty McGill, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are so proud to continue our support for this fun tournament for a record 14th year, attracting teams from across the local area and beyond.
