Bringing a family friendly community to Hallhill, Dunbar
Located off Yosemite Park, Belhaven Way is a future development of 245 high-quality homes, 25% of which will be affordable. Here, you will find a beautiful range of 2 bedroom apartments, as well as 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes with flexible living space that’s perfect for modern lifestyles.
This impressive development will represent our continued and significant investment in the local area by Taylor Wimpey East Scotland. A Section 75 Agreement has been concluded with East Lothian Council, and this development will also deliver a range of community benefits that includes land and financial contributions towards a new sports pitch to the west of Lochend Primary, over £1million in education contributions, a number of local transport and pedestrian footpath improvements.
There will also be contributions towards town centre upgrades at Musselburgh and Tranent, as well as financial support towards the East Lothian Council’s delivery of a new East Coast mainline underpass to provide further connectivity to the surrounding development and Dunbar town centre.
There is also a financial contribution for the Strategic Active Travel Corridor which encourages active and sustainable travel throughout East Lothian.
We are currently building a selection of new homes that appeal to a wide range of buyers in East Lothian. Why not visit one of our open developments near you and take a tour of a typical Taylor Wimpey show home.
Latest news
Our major programme of enabling work in preparation for our development of new homes at Belhaven Way is progressing well.
This is a substantial and complex programme of work that we anticipate will take around 12 months to complete. The complexity of the work required means the duration of the programme is subject to change, and we will be working closely with our contractors to ensure that we minimise any disruption or inconvenience to the local community.
Construction of our first new homes at Belhaven Way is expected to start in late 2023; and we anticipate these will be launched for sale in Summertime 2024.
October 2022
We can confirm that a Temporary Traffic and Regulation Order (TTRO) has been granted by East Lothian Council to allow our development at Hallhill in Dunbar to progress. Depending on our build rate, we expect this development to take around 5-6 years to complete and it is likely that this road closure would be in place for this period of time.
The health and safety of our staff, contractors and members of the local community is of paramount importance to us, and as a responsible homebuilder we will ensure that the works are carried out as efficiently as possible to minimise any inconvenience. Details of the closure and the diversions in place can be found here.
