We give a helping hand to Glenboig Development Trust Community Garden
To celebrate Community Garden Week last month, which aims to shine a light on the amazing range of community and school gardens across the country, we continued our support to the Glenboig Development Trust Community Garden by donating £500 and some materials to help with the provision of paths throughout the garden.
Our support of the Glenboig Development Trust Community Garden marks our ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities as work continues on the first phase of new homes at our popular Meadowside development nearby.
We are extremely grateful for the donation of sand, hardcore, and £500 that we have received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we can’t thank them enough for their ongoing support of our community garden within the village. We are in the process of installing accessible paths and some hardstanding to allow the community garden to be more accessible and user-friendly, as well as creating beds of herbs that will grow for everyone to enjoy. This donation has made a valuable contribution to our ongoing efforts. We’re also grateful for the supply of bird boxes, paints, and brushes they recently supplied to enhance a sustainability and planting session we ran with children from our local primary schools at the Life Centre.

Community Garden Week recognises the importance and the positive impact that community gardens can have, and we are proud to continue our support of the Glenboig Development Trust Community Garden. Community gardens have an incredible ability to bring people together and we know that Glenboig’s Community Garden provides a great resource for the local community. We do more than just build high-quality homes. Working with community groups and organisations surrounding our developments means a great deal to us, and it’s great to know that we are helping to make a difference in the lives of people in local communities.
