Keeping our communities safe
We organised an activity session for students at Lighthorne Heath Primary School to inform and educate them on the fire and rescue service.
Students were given a guided tour of Gaydon Fire Station in Warwick, while being informed on the importance of fire safety. Pupils even had the chance to sit in an emergency services truck, and tested out life-saving equipment including the fire service hose.
Andy Hickman, Crew Manager at Gaydon Fire Station said: “Working in partnership with schools is key to our prevention activities, and overall helping to keep our communities safe. We are always pleased to welcome local schools to the station to educate and inspire young people on the role of fire service.”
