Tim and Anita Owen, along with their two sons Jamie, and Joshua, previously lived on a 22-year-old estate in St Helens.

Driven by the fact that their son Joshua, works in the RAF and spends less time at home, they opted for Taylor Wimpey’s easymover scheme and downsized to a home at Fox Wood Garden Village in Whiston that better suited their needs.

Anita said: “Our old house was in a really lovely setting and we were looking for something that would be very close to parkland. Fox Wood Garden Village is quite rural and has plenty of great open green spaces to walk our two dogs, so our new home fits our criteria perfectly.

“The development is also an easy five-minute drive to Tarbock intersection, which connects us to the M62 and M57 and is great for all our commutes.”

The family chose a Lydford house type with four bedrooms as it provided the comfort and functionality that they desired.

Energy efficiency was also a factor in their decision-making process, reflecting Taylor Wimpey's commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly living.

Tim said: “We chose the Lydford as it was a smaller house that still had a great feel of space, for when our son visits us or when we host family dinners and get togethers. We truly love the open plan kitchen diner, the size of the bedrooms, and the nice garden with the detached garage.

“We also did our research and were happy to read about the insulation of the build. We are hopeful that it will keep our bills down."
