Family upsize to spacious village home in Codicote

Bankim Bhatt (43), an Entrepreneur, his wife, Kavita, and their two children ages 14 and eight, moved to their new four bedroom home at The Heath in January.

The perfect family location

After previously living in a newbuild home, Bankim opted for a newbuild home over a pre-owned one, he said: “We’ve lived in a newbuild house before in East London, which was a nice experience and the house had good insulation. We are from India, so we are used to warmer temperatures and newbuild homes are always warm because they have better insulation than older homes.”

Bankim’s first impression of The Heath was that it suited their needs as a growing family, he said: “I liked how the development is away from the high street and main roads, as we have a small child so this makes the development feel safer for them.”

After a previous unsatisfactory purchasing experience with their first home in 2014 from another developer, Bankim was impressed with the Taylor Wimpey team’s handling of the sales process. He said: “From the beginning, the Taylor Wimpey sales team treated us very well. They were really welcoming and we received good treatment. Everytime we talked to them, they would be proactive about our needs and would give us multiple options regardless of our requirements.

“They’re really brilliant and know what they’re doing. There is honestly no room for improvement as Taylor Wimpey has already achieved the highest of standards.”

When asked what he likes most about his new home, Bankim said: “The Osborne is one of the best house types in my opinion, it met our requirements as a family with two children with its four bedrooms. As we are Indian, we also cook all our meals from scratch, so having a large kitchen was important to us which the Osborne is perfect for.”
