Finding the perfect family home at Broadleaf Park

Shyby Jacob (46), a Nurse Practitioner, and her husband, Mathew Varghese (46), a Technical Operator, moved from their semi-detached home to their new Broadleaf Park home with their sons Kevin (18) and Kiran (16), and dog, Rocky.

Part of a new community

When asked why they opted for a newbuild over a pre-owned home, Shyby said: "We wanted a newbuild home due to their energy efficiency and because they're designed for modern living. Newbuilds generally have less work needed upon moving in and we liked the idea of having the opportunity to be part of a new community."

Shyby and Mathew chose to purchase a Taylor Wimpey home after friends recommended us to them. She said: "We found that Taylor Wimpey homes are more spacious than other newbuild properties and our friends told us about the very good customer service team."

Located on the outskirts of the village of Rownhams, Broadleaf Park is surrounded by countryside and nearby to the market town of Romsey, which caught Shyby and Mathew's eye when they first visited the development. Shyby said: "Broadleaf Park and its surrounding areas are beautiful. There is easy access to local shops, bus stops and a train station."

The couple chose the four bedroom Fakenham house type due to its space. The detached traditional family home features four double bedrooms, one of which is a master bedroom with an ensuite, and a garage. The large, open plan kitchen and dining area also has double doors leading into the rear garden, perfect for a summer barbeque.

Since moving into their new home, Shyby shared what the family love most about it, she said: "The view from my house is amazing and we love the play areas and green spaces and there's plenty of direct walking and cycling paths connecting the whole site."
