Growing family finds Watermill Green worth the wait

Teachers, Ryan (41) and Louise (39) Nicholl, have been following Watermill Green’s progress ever since they heard the news that we would be building in Stotfold.

The perfect family location

The couple moved into their new home in October with their two children, Grace (10) and Noah (8), and their dog, Oakley, and cat, Polly, and have found Watermill Green to be the perfect location for their family.

After previously living in a semi-detached 1960s home in Stotfold and modernising parts of it, the couple opted for a newbuild home due to the little work they require before moving in, Ryan said: "We were keen to have a blank canvas and add extra finishing touches to suit our taste."

Keen to stay in Stotfold, Watermill Green was in an ideal location for the couple and their children, Ryan said: "We really like what Stotfold has to offer and we've been coming by to see Watermill Green's progress every week.

"The development is close to our children's schools and there's lots of parks nearby for them to play. Watermill Green has always been kept tidy too, and as it started to grow we could see how nice the houses and the overall development would be."

They chose the four bedroom Manford house type due to the extra space it provided for their growing family, Ryan said: "We were drawn in by the size of the plot; the thought of a larger third bedroom, a spare room and a study area really appealed to us. The Manford met all of our needs: it was detached, had four bedrooms and a nice, open plan kitchen and dining room downstairs which has proven to be the hub of the house now that we've moved in."

When asked whether we lived up to the glowing reviews from their friends and family, Ryan said: "Honestly, the purchasing process was very simple. Having moved a couple of times before, we are familiar with the stresses that can come with moving home, but Taylor Wimpey was really helpful and guided us through every step of the process and kept in contact throughout, updating us reguarly."

Now that they've settled in, Ryan shared what he and his family love most about their new home and the local area: "We really like the fact that we were able to put our spin on the interior extras. This enabled us to move in with everything ready and no real work needing to be done. We love the open plan kitchen and dining area in our new home, this is where we spend most of our time as a family. We also enjoy how close Watermill Green is to some lovely walks in the local area; we like to get out and about so have tried various routes available on our doorstep.

"Whilst the process leading up to the purchase was smooth, we have also experienced how great Taylor Wimpey's aftercare has been. The sales team have checked on us to ensure everything is to our living and they continue to answer any questions we have."
